“….helping people into their

potential…”

The Things We Offer

Here are some of the things we can help with…

  • Both Ian and Jessica are experienced coaches. They have been trained in the use of different coaching tools such as Clifton Strengthfinders, Belbin, 3d coaching as well as developing many of their own tools from over 40 years of coaching, mentoring and caring for people individually, in communities and organisations.

They are very experienced in coaching and mentoring cross culturally.

  • Developing emotional stability for life.

Description – Research has shown that we have 80 000 thoughts a day, and that 80% of these are negative. Am I therefore just the sum of my negative thinking and if I am, how can I change?

Practicing Joy is an eight week down to earth course based on Christian values and aimed at transforming our thinking with simple skills and practices that we can use anywhere. When applied regularly we not only change our mind set but behaviour, relationships and focus as well. We learn to tune into our thoughts and feelings, those of our family and friends and of our God who knows us so well. We become more attached to Him, and we find we are following the example of His son, Jesus.

  • Ian has been involved in consultancy in many different arenas. He has worked with businesses, education and health organisations, charities, as well as faith and mission organisations.

Some of the organisations he has worked with include: Wokingham Health team, Berkshire CC, Existence, Diocese of St Albans, Norton Road Primary School, mission organisations such as YWAM and Frontiers, St Mary’s Parish Church as well as many independent churches.

Here are some of the areas he has been involved in:

    • Working with teams - team building, team health checks, team formation, as an advisor/coach/mentor.

    • Organisational restructuring

    • Missional effectiveness - assessing how missionally effective you are, assessing the the needs of the wider community and how to meet them.

    • Leadership re-structuring.

    • Assessing strategic effectiveness and helping develop strategic plans.

    • Ideas consultancy - helping think around log jams, facilitating ‘brainstorming’, helping create innovative entrepreneurial strategies.

    • Helping organisations and teams through transition and change

  • Ian is a trained spiritual director and is experienced at helping to walk and journey with people and groups to help them discern where God is leading them, to unravel complexities in their lives or to just help people or communities go deeper.

Part of this can be helping individuals and communities discern their next steps.

  • Ian and Jessica run workshops on many different subjects and issues.

Please look at the the workshop page that outline some of the workshops that they have done and the cost.

    Workshops

But please contact us if the training or workshop you are looking for isn’t there. We can facilitate a lot more training and workshops but it is impossible to list everything that we have to offer. We will be honest as to whether we can offer something or not, and if we can’t do it there a is a strong possibility that we know someone who can.

  • Ian is a skilled in helping individuals, teams and communities to find resolution in the midst of conflict. He has worked in this field cross-culturally and with teams and communities that are made up of different cultures.

  • Ian and Jessica have a lot of experience and wisdom guiding individuals, teams, communities and organisations to navigate change and manage it well. They have an intuitive feel for the change process and have developed tools for helping both the individual and the community/organisation through change.

  • Both Jessica and Ian have a wealth of experience, wisdom and tools to help leaders develop their full potential.

For individuals they can help them grow and mature in character, emotional maturity and skills.

They can facilitate and coach teams and communities to find leadership models and structures for successful decision making.

Ian is particularly gifted in helping teams and communities transition or grow in a more polycentric (consensus) leadership style.

  • An important part of Ian and Jessica’s leadership is to help individuals, teams and communities find creative and innovative ways to engage, influence and reach the culture and society around them.

Ian and Jessica passionately believe that you can only reproduce who you are are. Therefore, you can only influence the context that you are in by understanding and developing yourself, the community/team and wider community or culture/society you are in.

Therefore, to influence culture there are two important areas to consider and Ian and Jessica love to help individuals and communities to explore these:

    1. Develop a healthy culture that harnesses and releases people and communities to be the best version of themselves. eg help people to understand themselves and the impact they have on the environment they are in.

    2. Develop strategies to engage the community around them. Some of the things this could include:

    • ideas consultancy - where they facilitate teams and communities to ‘brainstorm’ and find consensus on on a strategy to engage the wider community/society around them.

    • teaching and coaching on crossing cultures.

    • helping to research and ‘construct’ creative and innovative ways to engage and influence the culture/society they are in. This could also be prayer strategies for discerning what God might be highlighting.

  • With the wealth of experience, wisdom and knowledge that Jessica and Ian have acquired over their 40 years+ of leadership, coupled with a very intuitive ability to build communities, they have the passion and expertise to help build and develop teams and communities. Here are some of the things they can help with.

    For the individual:

    • help them to understand themselves and how to understand others.

    • help them to build and develop good rhythms and patterns in their individual lives that will be reproducable and have a positive impact in influencing the culture around them.

    For the group etc:

    • help them to understand the affect of dynamics on a community/team.

    • what is the difference in make-up between teams and communities and organisation.

    • how to listen to hear.

    • how to build consensus.

    • different models of teams etc.
